Sedlec Ossuary Bone Chandelier

A recreation of the Chandelier in the Sedlec Ossuary at Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic.

I started by creating the bones individually, then baked those out. Afterwards I then created the bone Chandelier mesh in its entirety, which I then in the second uv channel created a unique sheet. Afterwards I re-projected the normal details from the individual sheets into the unique sheet and shifted the second uv channel to the primary. From there I was able to texture it completely in substance painter without anything being duplicated. I also processed the curvature map out of designer from the combined normal and re-projection, because there is no high poly to bake the curvature from.

In hindsight, I probably should have paid attention to my polycount as the assets were 1000 or so tris per mesh, I didn't really consider this much until 1000 bones later, I realise my tri count was ... rather high.

Bone Chandelier

The pieces used to create this piece, I also had 1 bendy cube and a cylinder for a pole.. but figured those weren't particularly interesting....
